All athletes MUST complete the athletic clearance process prior to starting any season of their sport at Las Lomas. This process includes:
Completing the AUHSD Online Athletic Registrations (click HERE)
Completing, printing and signing the Athletic Clearance and Sport Summary form. It is found on page 8 during the online athletic registration.
Take your printed athletic clearance form to your physician for a physical after July 1 and have a doctor stamp, sign and date the form.
Turn in the forms to the athletic directors at one of the athletic clearance dates listed for each season.
When completing the form select all sports you would like to "clear" for the school year and this will take care of the clearance process for sports starting later in the school year. Proof of clearance is a sticker that is attached to the back of the student body card.
Athletic Donations Information
Athletics at Las Lomas would not exist if it were not for the generous support of donations from the participants to maintain athletic programs. The following is meant to explain donation requests and how they relate to the athletic programs and teams that students participate on.
District Sports Donation: $250 ($260 if paid on webstore)
For each season that an athlete participates in, the Acalanes Union High School District asks that you donate $250 (two season max request per student per year.) This money offsets district expenses related to coaching staff stipends, fingerprinting, coaching certification programs, transportation, utilities and field lighting, field maintenence and pool and gym preparation. Las Lomas Trainer Donation: $20
This donation is essential to the student body committment to fund 50% of the salary of the on-site athletic trainer. It is collected once per season and will be incorporated into team donation and purchases.
Team Donation and Purchases
This request will vary by sport and is often referred to as "spirit pack." These funds will cover a range of expenses related to each specific sport. They will include items such as sweatshirts, t-shirts, or gear that is meant for students to keep. They may include funds to support equipment purchase, entry fees and awards ceremonies, special events and/or team functions during the season.
ASB Student Body Card Purchase: $75
All athletes are asked to purchase an ASB student body card to help support the student body's committment to athletic programs at LLHS. This helps offset the cost of officials, one tournament entry per team, block letters and participation certificates and all DFAL, NCS and CIF dues. The student body card purchase will allow free admission to all home sporting events with the exception of NCS and CIF playoffs.
Las Lomas Athletic Boosters
The main supporter of athletics at Las Lomas is the booster club. Membership allows various benefits for families or individuals, including admission to all regular season home games. Many essential and supplementary items are purchased for all teams through the Las Lomas Boosters. Each sport is given a $15 stipend for every booster family participant on that team.
In order to offset the need to have high team donation requests, many teams choose to participate in some sort of fundraiser. These may include hosting tournaments or more traditional fundraising efforts.
Entry fees are charged for many events. Proceeds from most events go to the student body to offset the cost of supporting athletics. If you did not join boosters or purchase an ASB card, please plan on paying at the gate. All schools in the league may charge for any sport. ALL NCS playoff events will carge and no Las Lomas passes (Boosters or ASB) will be accepted.
