Administrative Services

College/Career Centers

Qualified coordinators oversee the activities and maintain resources of the Office of College, Career Planning, Career Development, and Business Partnerships. With the help of volunteer staff, the center is open daily. The coordinators work with the counselors to assistant students and faculty. They organize and promote district-wide special events, such as Career Night, Business Partnerships, and College Night.

 

Counseling Services

Credentialed counselors provide personal, academic and career counseling for students. They work with students and parents/guardians to develop a four- year educational plan for students to graduate from high school and to prepare for post-secondary education, training, and career opportunities.

 

Health Services

Nurses provide first aid, health and wellness information to students and staff; sponsor school-wide health programs utilizing community resources; provide resource assistance for teachers in health education and other courses; maintain current health records and emergency information for all students; and a variety of other services that support student learning.

 

Library/Media Services

Credentialed librarians coordinate services for students and staff. They develop, implement and coordinate school library programs with the instructional programs of the school district. They provide supplemental instructional materials for students and staff., including technology resources for research.

 

Peer Counseling Programs

The program uses the concept that young people should be provided with the knowledge, skills, and experience necessary to become responsible, caring, and contributing citizens. Staff members provide students with ongoing, formal training and supervision that teach students critical life-skills to help peers develop a solid foundation for academic achievement and future employability. The life-skills training students receive covers personal development, communication, decision-making/problem solving, and conflict resolution.

 

Limited English Proficient Program
