The Contra Costa County Transition Taskforce mission is to support young adults, parents and community members making the transition to the post-secondary world, through education, coordination of educational services and adult agencies, and to advocate their needs

The California Department of Rehabilitation

(DOR) works in partnership with consumers and other stakeholders to provide services and advocacy resulting in employment, independent living, and equality for individuals with disabilities.

DOR administers the largest vocational rehabilitation and independent living programs in the country. Vocational rehabilitation services are designed to help job seekers with disabilities obtain competitive employment in integrated work settings. Independent living services may include peer support, skill development, systems advocacy, referrals, assistive technology services, transition services, housing assistance, and personal assistance services.

Regional Center of the East Bay

The Regional Center of the East Bay supports persons with developmental disabilities and their families with the tools needed to achieve lives of quality, satisfaction and builds partnerships that result in inclusive communities. The vision of the Regional Center of the East Bay is a future where persons with developmental disabilities are truly a part of the community. Persons with developmental disabilities receive supports and services they need to succeed. The supports and services change as the need changes.

California Transition Alliance

California Transition Alliance is a non-profit organization of youth-serving professionals dedicated to helping youth make positive transitions to adult life.

CA Department of Education Secondary Transition Planning

Secondary Transition resources and guidelines to assist youth with disabilities as they transition from school to adult life, including education and training, employment and independent living.

California Educators Together

California Educators Together is a community of practice designed to provide educators, administrators, specialists, and state program leads a common space to communicate, share strategies, and access resources.

CTE

AUHSD offers multiple pathways to promote student access to the Career and Technical Education (CTE) Courses. Numerous CTE courses offered in the four high schools are UC approved as College Preparatory courses. UC approved courses are designated as such in the AUHSD Course Catalog.

The courses below are offered in the district however not all courses are offered at each AUHSD school site. Please visit the AUHSD Course Catalog to determine if a particular course is offered at your school site.
