Cal Grant Opt-Out Letter

Dear Parents/Guardians:


Cal Grant gives funds to every eligible senior who meets the requirements.  A Cal Grant pays for tuition, room and board, books, and other supplies for California colleges.  Cal Grant applicants must also file the FAFSA or the California Dream Act Application between October 1, and March 2, 2019.


The Acalanes Union High School District will electronically submit information for every senior in the district to the California Student Aid commission so they may be considered for a Cal Grant.


If you do not wish to have your senior student’s information submitted electronically, please complete the opt-out information on the attached form and return to the ACIS Registrar by September 21, 2018.  After that date, the information for all 12th grade students, excluding those who opt-out, will be submitted electronically to the California Student Aid Commission for Cal Grant consideration.
