    Eric Shawn, Principal 

    Principal Shawn has served as the Principal of Acalanes High School since 2021, where he leads with a vision of inclusivity, collaboration, and academic excellence. Prior to joining Acalanes, Eric spent nine years as an administrator at James Logan High School and Alameda High School, focusing on student support services, instructional leadership, and equity-driven initiatives. He began his career teaching Social Science at Washington High School in Fremont, where he co-developed innovative interdisciplinary programs to support student success. Eric is deeply committed to building strong school communities, supporting staff and student growth, and fostering a culture where all students thrive.

    Colin Malcolm, Associate Principal 

    Colin Malcolm comes to Acalanes High School with over a decade of experience in education as a teacher, coach, and school leader, bringing a strong commitment to equity, student engagement, and inclusive school culture. Previously serving as a House Principal at James Logan High School, Colin led initiatives to strengthen instructional practices in mathematics, expand equitable access to college testing, and support multilingual learners through targeted interventions. Formerly a science teacher and activities director, Colin has supported developing engaging student centered classroom environments, and school leadership programs that empower students.

    Neku Pogue, Associate Principal 

    Neku Pogue comes to Acalanes with over 15 years of experience in educational leadership, most recently as a Program Supervisor with San Ramon Valley Unified. Neku has a robust background in driving systemic improvement, fostering equitable learning environments, and ensuring student success, bringing expertise in data-driven decision making, instructional leadership, and community engagement. Neku is committed to providing access to all students, culturally responsive teaching, and enhancing instructional practices to promote inclusive education.
