Eric Shawn, Principal 

Eric comes to Acalanes after 9 years as an administrator at James Logan High School and Alameda High School. Eric began his career teaching Social Science at Washington High School in Fremont, CA and has always been passionate about teaching and learning. He greatly looks forward to learning more about the Acalanes community and is committed to student wellness and ensuring belonging in our school.

Andrea Powers, Associate Principal 

Andrea came to Acalanes in the Fall of 2018. She is a veteran teacher of 13 years having taught U.S. History, Leadership, and acting as program advisor for cheerleading at Monte Vista High School.  Andrea left the classroom to become an administrator to contribute to the greater school audience including students, staff and the community at large.

Jeanne Johnson, Associate Principal 

Jeanne comes to Acalances after 4 years as an Instructional Coach supporting AVID, social science, and secondary literacy in the Mt. Diablo Unified School District.  Jeanne began her career teaching history in MDUSD and then taught French for 10 years, mostly at Dougherty Valley High School in SRVUSD.  She is very excited to be joining the Acalanes community where she can pursue her passion for increasing student engagement and equitable learning outcomes.
