Acalanes High School WASC 2022-2023
WASC is a complex process that requires a school to analyze and evaluate all aspects of the school’s practices. Acalanes' previous WASC visit was completed in 2016. Since 2016, Acalanes has undergone a variety of large institutional changes. This includes a new school day schedule, a new wellness center, schoolwide equity-based programming, and new administration at both the site and district level. This on top of the global pandemic that began in 2020 and continues to impact our school and society to this day. In the 21-22 and 22-23 school year, Acalanes underwent a rigorous and thorough WASC “Focus on Learning” process to prepare for the scheduled 2023 WASC visit. Acalanes engaged in our WASC Self Study Visit from February 26th to March 1st.
On April 27, 2023, The Accrediting Commission for Schools, Western Association of Schools and College (ACS WASC) announced that Acalanes High School met the criteria for accreditation and was granted a six-year accreditation status through June 30, 2029.
