Technology Acalanes students utilize instructional technology in all of their classes, and the school encourages families to participate in the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) program. In this program, students bring their own laptop to school and then utilize the school’s Wi-Fi and online resources.
We encourage families to consider providing a personal device for their students that they can care for and utilize during their four years at Acalanes. To ensure a smooth transition, please consider these guidelines on recommended device specifications and any necessary software or applications that students may need to install.
For those families and students who need a school-issued device, we will make them available to our students on the first day of school. Thanks to our partnership with LPIE, we can provide devices to a student who needs one. It is our priority to ensure every student has access to the tools they need for academic success. It is strongly recommended that students checking out a school Chromebook purchase additional insurance if the device is damaged, lost, or stolen. Acalanes Technology
