Coach Brown has a special talent in connecting with students as a coach and teacher. Having the pool named after a respected teach/coach acknowledges his dedication to our community for the last 40+ years. Coach Brown is a man of incredible character, integrity and honesty. His success are numerous, however his most noted are:
- Developed Men’s Water Polo at Miramonte.
- Assisted in the beginning of the Women’s Water Polo program at Miramonte.
- Coached 6 USA Olympians

- 20+ former MHS players are currently coaching water polo locally
Most recently, Coach Brown was inducted into both the California High School Coaches Hall of Fame as well as the National High School Coaches Hall of Fame.
