Intradistrict Transfer (Within AUHSD)

Intradistrict Transfers are for resident students only who wish to transfer from his/her school of residence to another school within the AUHSD District. While we encourage students to attend their school of residence, we make other schools available for intradistrict transfer.

 

• Las Lomas and Campolindo High Schools are currently closed for Intradistrict transfer for the 2024-2025 school year.

Interdistrict Transfers (Incoming)

Interdistrict transfers are for students who reside outside of our district boundaries, but wish to transfer into the Acalanes Union High School District from their district of residence. The District will accept interdistrict transfer applications beginning February 1 and begin processing the second week of April.

The Superintendent or designee may approve an interdistrict attendance application for a student according to space availability and with fiscal considerations with the following ordered priorities and if the student meets the criteria outlined in the interdistrict attendance regulations:

 

• The parent/guardian of the student is employed by the AUHSD and is at least 0.4 FTE and not an at-will employee.
• The parent/guardian of the student is employed by a partner TK-8 school district and is at least 0.4 FTE and not an at-will employee. Partner districts include the Lafayette School District, Moraga School District, Orinda School District, Walnut Creek School District and Canyon Elementary School District.
• The transfer applicant is a sibling of a current AUHSD student or when the transfer applicant attended 8^th grade in a partner school district: Lafayette School District, Moraga School District, Orinda School District, Walnut Creek School District and Canyon Elementary School District.

 

The Superintendent or designee may deny interdistrict transfer requests for reason(s) that include but are not limited to overcrowding within District schools and/or District programs or limited District resources. 

 

• All schools are currently closed for Interdistrict transfer for the 2024-2025 school year.

If you reside within our district boundaries but wish to transfer to an outside district, please click here.

It is the parent’s responsibility to obtain enrollment approval from the outside requested district.
