Mrs. Roxanna Martinez Jackman
Mrs. Jackman has been teaching at Campolindo for a very long time (since 1998). Over the past 30 years, she's taught Life Science, Integrated Science (earth, chemistry, physics and biology), AP Biology and (her personal favorite and Major at UC Davis) Human Anatomy & Physiology. She's also worked at James Logan High School, Union City, CA, and Monte Vista High School, CA, and CHS as a mentor teacher, Technology Mentor, and Instructional Coach.
She currently teaches Living Earth and Human Anatomy & Physiology at CHS. One of her favorite things to do while teaching is to help students get or think OUTSIDE of the classroom, and make connections to what they're learning and their own lives.
Mrs. Jackman collaborates with Camplindo's chapter of Global Student Embassy (GSE) developing curricular connections between the the campus garden and her classes. In 2016 she travelled to Panama with GSE's student group. In 2017-18 she has been working with the China/US cultural exchange program to share NGSS practices with student teachers and professors from Capital Normal University in Beijiing. Mrs. Jackman participates as a chaperone annually during Campolindo's Yosemite Institute Field Biology and Geology week and, along with other members of the Science Department, helps manage the Campolindo garden.
