Mrs. Lisa Herzig (she/her)
Graduating summa cum laude from San Francisco State University with a major in U.S. History, minors in Latin American and Classical history, and a teaching credential, Mrs. Herzig has taught high school students in both South San Francisco and in Moraga, California since 2000. Currently serving as the Social Sciences Department Chair at Campolindo High School, Mrs. Herzig has participated in numerous Advanced Placement, Organization of American Historians, and National Council for Social Studies institutes and conferences, as well annual professional development trainings offered by her district. A respected leader of her department, she has helped create district-wide assessments for World History and U.S. History, worked on curriculum development, and has written courses of study for both classes several times throughout her career. At Campolindo, she has taught World History, U.S. History, and AP U.S. History. Over the years, she has supervised numerous service clubs on campus and has also mentored several teachers in training. Wanting to make history even more relevant and engaging for her students, she teamed up with a colleague in 2020 to create a thematic U.S. History course. At present, Mrs. Herzig is working towards her Masters in American History, and she actually reads history books for fun.
