WINTER Q3 2026Computers and Technology
Register early for all classes.(Then you won't be disappointed if your class is full or canceled.)All About iCloud - [1 Class Session] iCloud is the foundational, central coordinating system that powers and unifies your entire Apple ecosystem. It is an essential cloud service designed not just for storage, but for the seamless integration and synchronization of your digital life across all your Apple hardware—including iPhones, iPads, Macs, Apple Watches, and Apple TVs.Its primary function is to store a wide variety of information—such as photos, videos, documents, app data, notes, reminders, contacts, calendars, and device backups—in the cloud. By keeping this data in a secure, remote location, iCloud ensures that the most current version of any file or piece of information is instantly accessible and automatically updated across every device associated with your Apple ID. For instance, a note created on your iPhone will appear instantly on your Mac, and a photo taken on your iPad will synchronize to your iCloud Photo Library for viewing on all your other devices.Beyond personal device synchronization, iCloud facilitates easy and secure sharing and collaboration with other users. Features like Shared Albums allow users to share specific photo collections, while Family Sharing consolidates purchases and subscriptions, and enhances privacy and security for all family members. For professional and collaborative tasks, iCloud Drive allows users to share documents and folders, enabling real-time collaboration on files stored in the cloud.

Matthews ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Remind Me Again - [1 Class Session] If you find yourself constantly juggling tasks, appointments, and fleeting ideas, then the Reminders app is an indispensable tool waiting to be integrated into your daily routine. Far more than a basic digital checklist, the Reminders app transforms into a powerful, dynamic system designed to help you meticulously organize all those crucial—and even the minor—bits of information that constitute your busy life.
It allows you to create multiple lists for different aspects of your life, such as "Work Projects," "Home Chores," "Grocery Shopping," or "Future Reading." Within these lists, you can set granular details for each item. This includes assigning due dates and times, setting location-based reminders (e.g., reminding you to "Pick up dry cleaning" when you arrive at a specific address), and even adding flags for priority. You can also add subtasks to complex reminders, breaking down large goals into manageable steps, and attach notes, images, or documents for complete context. This comprehensive functionality ensures that everything you need to remember is cataloged, prioritized, and delivered to you precisely when and where it is most relevant.
