Standards and Benchmarks

The District has adopted core academic standards in all curricular areas. In addition to the content standards, AUHSD has adopted the Common Core State Standards and is in the process of transitioning to the Next Generation Science Standards. Standards are the basis for the development of courses of study, the adoption of instructional materials, and the development of standard-aligned assessments in the student performance assessment system. Our Courses of Study will continue to be reviewed and revised as we continue to align with the newly adopted Common Core State Standards.
