Ms. Conners

My name is Ellen Conners and I am lucky enough to be a school counselor for students with last names G-Mc here at Miramonte High School! There is truly no better job in the world than getting to come here everyday and work with such an amazing group of students, teachers, and community members.

I am from suburban Sacramento and left California to attend college in Oregon. I decided on majoring in the world's most practical subject, Scandinavian Studies with an emphasis in Norwegian language, literature, and history, and have been absolutely shocked at how little I use this knowledge in my day to day life. I moved to Humboldt County in 2010 and completed two terms of service with AmeriCorps working in alternative education before moving to the Bay Area in 2012 to begin graduate school. I've worked at Miramonte for over a decade and it's safe to say I hope to be here for another! Outside of school I love spending time with my daughter, Kenna, and my energetic dog, Biscuit.
