Recycle Smart at the Del Valle Education Center
California State Law Senate Bill 1383 requires the composting of organics. Every business must separate organics, including all food scraps, uncoated food-soiled paper, and landscaping trimmings for composting.
In compliance with this law and in support and partnership with the Acalanes Union High School District's (AUHSD) Sustainability Committee, the Del Valle Education Center will now have trash, recycling, and composting bins throughout the campus.

Please review the AUHSD Waste Sorting Guide to help you identify what is to be placed in recycle, landfill, or compost.
Let's all do our part to help reduce greenhouse gas emissions; reduce, reuse, and recycle; and properly dispose of items for landfill. Together we can make a difference!
